ONE OF THE REASONS
WHY MOST PEOPLE ARE NOT INTO BUSINESSES
That question was raise by one of my regular readers. He
said that, one of the reason he is yet to start a business is that most people
he knows, frown at both small business and big business. Meaning that, business
is a very dangerous stuff. I have answered his question a long time ago. But
let us base our discussion today on this.
The number in business, is far lesser than the number not in
business, right? Many are working for other people, while others are doing
nothing, am I correct? Let us focus our attention now on those once who are
doing nothing. Let’s tag HOUSE A.
Many people in this group, HOUSE A, have good business
ideas, of course, every business ideas are good. And some of them have accurate
information on how to go about doing this business and profiting from it. It
will shock you to know, that these good business ideas, with the knowledge of
how to do the business have lived in them for years. Some of them have the
money to start, but they have refused to start. What then is their problem? Why
have they decided to bury good business ideas in their heart and mind, instead
of establishing it for people to feel and touch?
Can you come up with any answer? Ok, let me tell you one of
the reasons. Most of the people you know, that have refused to start a
business, even after knowing everything about the business, are people with “what if it does
not work?” mentality. Whatever good you say about the business, they will
always say, “what if it does not work that way, I will lose my money at end.”
And they will keep dwelling on that.
What do you think about this people? They are being careful,
right? Yes, it is good to be careful, but when you are overly careful, it will
keep you far away from certain good. I think these people are overly careful.
Some of them are still in that level or condition they used to be 2, 3, 4,
5years ago or even in worst conditions. If they had started something in the
past, their condition, will not be as bad as it is today. Their being overly
careful, has kept them at one spot.
People who are succeeding in business today, started one
day. And before they started, they asked themselves questions, both positive
and negative questions. One thing I know for sure is that they never dwell so
much on those negative questions. They focus more of their attention on the
positive once.
If BILL GATE was negative, I don’t think there will be
anything like Microsoft today. If RICHARD BRANDSON was negative, I don’t think
we will have virgin Atlantic, virgin coke and many other virgin companies
today. What if the owners of coca kola, Pepsi, Toyota, Nisan, Range Rover,
Dangote cement, Hp, Sony, Yamaha, Silverbird, DHL, all the companies you know,
name them. What if all of them were negative? Or only 50% of them were
negative? Will the world be as easy as it is now? I doubt.
Microsoft has over 5million millionaires in it. If Bill Gate
was negative, where will these once make their millions from?
Like I always say, all businesses are good business. All
business can generate money. All you need is knowledge about the business, and
skill to run the business. Once you get these 2 things, throw away negativity
and start. Don’t forget that the best way to start a business is to start small
and grow from there.
Don’t say “if I start small, people will laugh at me”, if
you start big and fail, will they not laugh at you? Small businesses will
always bring small problems that you can handle, while big businesses will
bring big problems that will overwhelm you, and because you are new in the business,
it will not leave you standing.
