Let’s look at the second environment we talked about the other time in one of our articles. Don’t forget, we are still talking about good small business ideas or best business ideas according to some.

Today, we want to look at another environment. This  environment is inhabited by high income earners. By this, I mean, big Lawyers, Bankers, people in oil companies like Shell, Agip, Exxon Mobile, Total, Chevron, and many others. You know there are areas for these set of people. If you live in Port Harcourt, Lagos and Warri, you will understand what am talking about.

Now, what small business do you think will do well in this kind of environment? That was the question we ask the other time. Am sure you can remember? I gave you some time to think about it. So, what good business idea did you come up with?

Ok, let’s do it together. First of all, let’s ask ourselves this question? Do people in this environment have something they will like people to do for them? Do they have problems they will love people to solve for them for a fee? The answer is a resounding yes. So, what are usually their problems? Well, almost all high income earners want to get everything easily. They feel like just saying something, and it is done.

 So if you can make something’s easy for some of these high income earners, they will love you for that and will even pay you. Kunle oni was living with his sister and her family in an area that is inhabited by high income earners. That was after his NYSC program. He searches for jobs for 3 years without success. Kunle said “one cool evening, I suddenly realize that I can iron very well, almost perfectly. So I decided to go into laundry service. The first thing I did was to advertise it, letting people know what am into now. I started by talking to my brother- in- laws friends in the estate. The estate has 340 building. I went to every building in the estate asking them to test me out. From each building, I collected 2 cloths. I came back and wash and iron them free of charge. At the end of the day, I was able to win 233 buildings over. Not 233 persons, but 233 buildings. Some of these buildings have up to 8 persons.”

Kunle is now a boss. He has 4 persons working for him. Using some names in the estate, he was able to attract more customers from outside the estate. Do you understand that? In that same estate, there Is a mobile barber, His name is Imeh Johnson. He started the business by barbing the children of these high income earners free of charge, going from house to house. Today, he has almost everybody in the estate as his customer. Isn’t that wonderful?

 You see, almost everything is possible. All you need to do is to do what you are supposed to do, and you will get it. Always remember that for you to find, you must search. To have customers, you must search for customers. Kunle Oni and Imeh Johnson did exactly that and they succeeded.
