THE ECONOMY OF THE WORLD IS MOVING FROM BAD TO THE GREATEST  BAD. PEOPLE ARE LOOKING FOR BEST SMALL BUSINESS IDEAS TODAY. WILL YOU JOIN THEM?

You see, one big truth is that some people will start businesses and will make money genuinely in this bad economy. Starting a business now is the only choice many have.

Am not talking about BIG BUSINESSES, am talking SMALL BUSINESSES. Some persons are ready to take action, they are not going to listen to “it will not work”. They are ready to study, ask questions and are ready to start with little or nothing. Yes, it is possible to start with little, even nothing. You will see how possible that is in the experiences I will share with you.

Now let’s start: Permit me to start with how you can start with as little as #5000

With the little you have, you can start doing seasonal businesses. What do I mean by seasonal businesses? During tomato season, you can start doing tomato business. At a point in Port Harcourt, a basket of tomato was #1,500. Am talking about this year, 2016 January and February. Those who were able to go to where it was sold at that price, brought it to where it was a beat higher and sold, and at the end of the day, they made profit. Sometimes, very good profit.
Some persons googled in the past "best business ideas, small business opportunity", have just mention one. Lets see another one.

Orange season is another season.  You can start thinking of how to make money from orange business now while waiting for the season to come. A whole(very big) tree of orange can go for as low as  #1,000 only in Benue state. Yes find out. Some of our igbo speaking brothers are the once doing this business. They will go their and buy, and then bring it to port harcout and then sell to people in bags. With as low as #2000, you can get one bag. This is where you come in. if others are selling 5 oranges #100, you can sell 6 or even 7 at #100. You will still make profit my sister, you will even make more profit than those who are selling 5 at #100 at the end of every week. Almost everywhere is a good location for this business. In front of your house? Very ok. That is one of the best business to start.

Pineapple season is another season. During pineapple season in 2014, a friend of mine visited a place called Bori in Rivers state of Nigeria. With only #8000, he was able to buy some basket of pineapples. He took to a place called Oyigbo, just 1hour 30minutes drive from Bori where he bought the pineapple, and sold what he bought #8000 at #16,500. If you take out #1,000, his transport fair, what you have as balance is his profit. And what is the balance? #7,500. That is what he made in a day. That is some people’s salary for a whole month in some state. Those of you working in business centers and restaurants understand what I mean. The young man said: “11 times, i visited bori, doing the same business. There were times I made as much as #18,000 profit”. Wao! Isn’t that interesting? We are talking about a graduate doing pineapple business. He did not succeed because he is a graduate, but because he followed the normal rule in business.  And what is the rule? Go to where things are cheap, bring them to where they are NEEDED. If a 10year old should follow this rule will he succeed? Yes.

In 2013, a young man started biter kola business. He started it with #10,000. Now that is big money for some us, but lets still talk about it. He went to a very popular market called mile 1 market in port Harcourt, Rivers state of Nigeria. I have to include all of these details because am not talking to Nigeria audience alone please. The young man discovered that in mile 1 market, one 4 liters paint rubber of biter kola goes for #1,200. But in his village which is less than 2hours drive from port Harcourt, the young man said: “one 4liters paint rubber of biter kola is #200”. Don’t get me wrong. Am talking about during biter kola season. And with just #10,000, the young man started the business. Who were his customers? Hausa men. Those of you in Nigeria understand what I mean. They were ready to buy in trucks if the the young man can supply. But because he did not have money to supply in trucks, he was travelling every day to his village to buy and supply. While others were selling at #1,200, he was selling at #1000. You see why the hausa guys stuck to him? Between September 2013 and 2^nd week of january 2014, he made VERY GOOD MONEY, with which he started poultry business.

STARTING A BUSINESS WITH ZERO NAIRA.

In this part of the article, am going to show you examples of people who started good businesses with zero capital.

A woman I know very well is doing tomato business. She will go to Eleme junction, where tomato trucks usually land. Eleme junction is in Port Harcourt, Rivers state of Nigeria. She will find out from the owners of the tomato (usually hausa men), how much they want to sell. Let us assume they say #5000. She will now take over a whole one truck of tomato and will now add between #1,000 and #1,500 on each basket and will begin to sell to market women. Let us assume she is making #500 profit per basket. A truck contains more than 200 baskets. If she is able to sell let’s say 150 baskets of tomato, how much is her profit? 500 multiply 150 will bring you to #75,000. That is what she is getting in one day. If she is able to do this 5times in a month, that is #375,000. You are surprise, right? If she had listened to “it will not work”, will she be here? If she had succumb to fear of failure? Will she be where she is right now?

Very recently, she introduced her friend to the same style of business. While she is making good money from the tomato’s side , her friend is making good money from the onions side.

Is this something you can do in your area? Yes.

Some persons are making hundreds of thousands of naira, sometimes dollars just by connecting a buyer to a seller. Some persons are house agents, land agents and they are making good money. You can go into the same business. Create your own style, stand out from the rest, you will make your own customers.
